you should read Sean Carroll's Something Deeply Hidden if you're really interested in the subject, or even just some of his content pieces on the internet. I've been reading extensively about all of this for the past half a year or so and he makes sense of the madness really well
Yeah I've read a bunch of his stuff but I loved the visual representations here. He's a great speaker.
