As someone who is allergic to avocados, this is a normal part of the denial you face soon after realizing the allergy. You tell yourself “surely that can’t be right. Why, I can rub an avocado all over my arm and nothing happens. I’m fine.”

Seconded. It took me like six months to figure out that that good green stood made me sick. And I rubbed it on my arm too.
