What is the length/width ratio of a noodle? Where is the hard cut off between pasta and noodle?

Hadn't thought about this before, but I think I agree with you. Noodles are separable from the things around them. I can eat mac and cheese and occasionally get a noodle that isn't really cheesy, and its fine. Lasagna does not follow this.
