Challenge for audio wizards: I wanna buy XLR shotgun mics & mixer to mic up 5 people around a large table. Usable sound quality for podcasting but mics out of camera shot. $1000 budget. What's the best gear to buy? Is it feasible or should I just give up & have mics in shot?
Already got that setup, looking to upgrade as the quality isn't great. It's usable but nowhere near as good as doing a similar podcast offline with XLR condenser mics.
