That SBB considered quitting his entire career after only a couple months on the bench shows the slightly insane dedication the top pros have. They hate the inability to compete. Their life's drive is the pursuit of greatness. Nobody is happy taking a paycheck.

I also think this is why one tricking will become a thing of the past. No one wants to be the guy who rides the bench just because their pool isnt diverse enough to be played. (widow might be one of the only exceptions)

doesnt it show their lack of dedication tho? i think I understand your point but at the same time if ur willing to quit after a couple months on the bench wouldnt that mean he isnt dedicated?

The dedication only works when it leads to something. If youre the best lets say Reaper in the world and grind for months, now matter how good you are at Reaper you just wont get played. A player's dedication turns into tilt when it isn't compensated with results
