Does New York's single regular season record and Stage titles carry them to the best ever despite lackluster pre-OWL history?
I think so, yes. OWL is a huge step up in competitiveness and prestige. LW Blue were also a top team in their own right, rarely dropped out top 5 rankings worldwide since December 2016. Their utter dominance of 2018 and then now in 2019 regular season has them as frontrunners.
