They have to keep this dominance up over the whole season OR NYXL have to significantly slump for them to overtake New York for that throne imo. But I think they can and will become the best team of all time.

Maybe this is pedantry, but dont you think the South Korean World Cup team beat NYXL? I'd almost call them the best team in Overwatch history.

Not a chance. South Korean World Cup team lost to Contenders teams every year. World Cup is a showmatch tournament.
