I think we showed a lot of promise today. Unfortunately, the best play against GOATS tends to be GOATS itself, even (or especially) in the case of playing the @VancouverTitans. They showed us how to play more effectively and taught us a valuable lesson in the process. GGs!

You guys actually looked fairly competent on GOATs (and Sombra) today, more so than in Stage 1. Don't think anyone would complain if you run it against others teams. Wins incoming if you keep it up.

I think a valuable perspective that is often overlooked is the skill of a GOATS team doesn't end with mirror matchups. Their level of understanding of GOATS extends to DPS matchups as well, and is potentially scarier due to the compounded issue of GOATS being the better comp

In no way were we ignorant of the option of running DPS comps, and we did so accordingly. It's difficult to find consistency against GOATS by running a DPS composition, especially on those maps. The argument exists that the risk needed to be taken, but that's a different point

Sure, though they have struggled against DPS comps in the past. I think the argument for those opting for you to run DPS (or Sombra goats) on Eich B/Paris A was that the risk was required as it has more variance.

It's an understandable argument, but it's hard to agree with a strategy of aiming for variance over consistency. And playing any comp that isn't GOATS sets you up to lose future fights while you build ults the GOATS team already has (bc DPS can never be run the entire map)

Agree to disagree, but we appreciate any kind words and all who continue to support us while we try to overcome our nightmares and improve with GOATS I often wake up in cold sweat to the image of brig swinging her flail

At the end of the day it's a difference of opinion based on probabilities that are largely unknowable. Gl in future games.

this is the most civilized conversation between a member of a team and a member of league talent that has existed yet.
