Hey everyone controversial opinion, I think Overwatch is in a good state right now to watch. GOATs has nuance you just need to know what to look for and we still see different compositions on specific maps.pic.twitter.com/ROiLrd4E1R

Bubble and discord chess. You heard it here first, GOATS is the intellectuals composition of choice.

People are just nostalgic for dive, when the heroes THEY played were in vogue

But I think that's a big part of why people don't enjoy it. You shouldn't need to have beforehand info of the matchup to enjoy it. And nobody teaches you it during the match, so all every match looks the same.

Not one OWL caster has made one tweet or statement in recent weeks around the state of Overwatch discussion. What this actually proves is that you’d all rather not criticize the company you work for & cannot give honest opinions on the current multitude of problems with the game.

I think it's a bit of both. I think GOATs meta is enjoyable to watch. It's really un-fun to play in though. But the viewer base is mostly players of the game, so they naturally hate it.

(which you can't do with literally any hero in the game that also shows much faster decision making and involves a lot more coordination over a larger span of the map)

Most people don't for sure but even then. It's just too much of W+M1. I think it also becomes a lot less impressive to watch pros play a comp where everything basically can be microed by 1 player on the team.

Because nothing in the UI or spectator client give good indications of cooldowns management, improve on that and maybe people would start catching on.

I love the game but goats is not engaging at all. It’s boring to watch and play. Also, you should be worried about Overwatch’s low twitch numbers right now. Xqc is consistently getting more viewers than all of Overwatch and he’s streaming bad unity games.
-
Also, making the most powerful hero in the game take 0 mechanical skill is the worst idea ever.
