The timing of patches is my single largest gripe with the Overwatch scene. Narratives have been bulldozered in most major tournaments for the "idk adapt i guess" highway and it doesn't have to be that way.

I worry for playoffs in Contenders. Some teams will be prepared for Hammond, some won't and might get caught off-guard. Ability to adapt to changing conditions is a core skill any team needs, but this might be a bit much.
The winner of a major (patched) tournament is rarely the one who adapts the most. In fact, it's often the one who has to adapt the least.
