a lot of top-of-the-funnel traffic makes it prohibitively expensive. our bill was $2k for first two weeks, so had to cancel. was insane. communicated w/ their support team.

def a bummer bc i loved segment and use them on bigger projects that are grandfathered on the original pricing. tried integrating their open source analytics.js as an alternative to their hosted version but, unfortunately, it's like comparing apples & oranges.
