    Academia often feels like (in my experience), a series of failures, rejections, & disappointments. This is offset by learning a student got a dream job or extended a thesis into an OA peer-reviewed paper!!! thank you for making my day !

    It's amazing how few people understand this important distinction. Facebook gets punished for actually being extremely proactive (in a good way) in reporting CSAM to NCMEC. (Same, to a lesser extent, of Google reporting how many DMCA takedowns it gets)
