Show me the nation where a female, a child of immigrant, a child of poverty, an average person born w/no link to power or privilege who now dreams to help write & pass the laws that govern this great, great land.

someone three days ago at my place of employment said, "America is filled with such stupid people because of mixed-marriages" that's why its going downhill.

I agree in principle. But lots of awful people also choose the path of power, to “write and pass the laws”, to seek control over others lives. Politics is rarely an honorable profession.
