The worst part of tonight's nonsense is the Iowa caucus non-event stepped on one of the biggest news stories in a while, which is that we found out tonight that TRUMP HAD A SECRET MEETING WITH THE CROWN PRINCE OF SAUDI ARABIA AT HIS (TRUMP'S) HOUSE A WEEK BEFORE THE 2016 ELECTION

Trump's attorneys Ken Starr and Robert Ray contributed $8,400 to Mitch McConnell last year. Starr has also donated to Lindsey Graham's campaign. Jay Sekulow has contributed to multiple Republican senators, including Ted Cruz and John Thune. Our system is woefully broken.

This is not American democracy. Trump is not solely responsible for his fascist policies. The GOP is enabling him to corrupt the system even further than I thought possible in this age of information (or disinformation)...

It would be a shame if this video that exposes Mitch McConnell got tons of retweets and moved from 890,000 views to 1 Million views by tomorrow.

Trump and his enablers are throwing a lavish Super Bowl party at Mar-a-Lago. The estimated cost to taxpayers: $3.4M Once again, they are using public funds to subsidize their own extravagances while cutting public funds for programs that aid the vulnerable. Shame on them.

"The lesson of the Kavanaugh hearings wasn’t the effectiveness of Democratic gamesmanship; it was the power of stonewalling." Interesting take on the Kavanaugh confirmation, as Senate Republicans compare the impeachment trial to it via

Hunter Biden is like a lot of unimpressive people in public life, including the Trumps—trading on his name for power. But if Trump believed an illegality occurred, then why didn’t the administration open a proper DoJ investigation instead of pushing Ukraine for an announcement?

Here are my takeaways: Trump’s lawyers cannot, and did not, defend him on the facts. Their defense has evolved to this: he did it, so what? His lawyers strengthened our case that the Senate must hear from Bolton. A fair trial requires key witnesses. Will America have one?

Trump is arguing Hunter Biden’s Burisma work warranted a criminal investigation. Which means all the deals, trademarks & loans Ivanka, the Kushners, Don jr & Eric have received during his presidency should get the same.

I don’t like formality. There’s no formality when we’re born and none when we die. In between we should treat each other as brothers and sisters because we all want to live a happy life. This is our common purpose and our right.

After listening to the President’s lawyers opening arguments, I have three observations: They don’t contest the facts of Trump’s scheme. They’re trying to deflect, distract from, and distort the truth. And they are continuing to cover it up by blocking documents and witnesses.

That's Outrageous!! People need to realize that our government has been providing more corporate welfare than investing in social programs that are proven to lift folks out of poverty.

The news has barely mentioned it, but our current Labor Secretary, Eugene Scalia, has spent his entire career defending: —Wall St. Banks —Vegas Casinos —Walmart I'm old enough to remember when labor secretaries were supposed to protect working people.

Reminder: When billionaires have enough wealth and power to dictate the rules of capitalism for their own benefit, we all suffer. Limiting their influence isn't "class warfare." It's leveling the playing field so everyone has an equal say in our democracy.

Trump’s “legal” defense: 1) Attack Schiff and Pelosi 2) Spread conspiracy theories about the Bidens 3) Block key witnesses from testifying 4) Claim certain offenses aren’t impeachable 5) Coordinate with McConnell to make sure the trial gets as little attention as possible

Plus they don’t wanna stop him. They want the distraction so everyone is looking at Trump with his pants on fire while they are passing legislation that the majority of Americans do not support and confirming judges with white nationalist ideologies who are totally unqualified.

Time to realize the reason McConnell wants the Dictatorship Trump offers him. The GOP have been securing minority rule through Citizens United, Gerrymandering, Voter Suppression, & Refusing to seat Democratic judges. Trump is his useful idiot. He will do nothing to stop him.
