This is extraordinary, from Kuwait. The Muslim call to prayer contains the line Hayya ala al-Salah (come to prayer), imploring people to come to the mosque. Now, because of coronavirus, the muadhin (caller) says al-Salatu fi buyutikum (pray in your homes). Never heard that beforepic.twitter.com/gSkzI6HHy6

The hadith is narrated in both Bukhari and Muslim. However, the phrase"Buyutikum" is not used. The phrase "Ricaalikum" is used: https://sunnah.com/muslim/6/32

Actually, in UK and other 'non Muslim' countries I think they do broadcast much louder than in Muslim countries. I lived opposite a Mosque in Saudi, and barely noticed 'call to prayer'. #justanobsv

This is an indication of how serious Kuwait has taken the CoViD virus.
