Release from detention in Camp Bucca produced fighters who were more brazen, daring and committed precisely because they realised the hopelessness of their situation (hence the move to Abu Bakr Naji’s doctrine). What do we expect released ISIS detainees to do if freed now?

escape? Reports is YPG is releasing them and letting IS prisoners loose as a bargain chip and revenge against US

I don't see any substance to this. Freed IS prisoners won't bother the Americans because they will have left the area. If they release them it's local people who will fall victims. Why spend years and lives fighting them just to release them?

it's not inadvertent, sowing chaos in the non-christian world is implicit US policy, and in trump's case, a new war in the middle east distracts from his other crimes
