A few months ago I started a full series play through with my son. We’re most of the way through Prime 3, with just Other M and Federation Force to go. The Dread announcement only added fuel to the Metroid enthusiasm in this house. My 7 year old is a fan for life.

You can safely skip Other M.
Trust me, it's for the best. Nothing of value is there and Dread appears to be ignoring it entirely.

I’m currently on the Prime series.
So far, I’ve completed every Metroid game without the word “Prime” in the title except for Samus Returns, but I don’t have a 3DS, so I can’t play that game.

Currently through Samus Returns Fusion mode, it's been a blast, Federation Force would be the next one 👌🏼
