  6. I agreed to countless unpaid events & projects bc I wanted to share how important science is to our lives, advocate for evidence based policies, make sure there was a woman/young person at the table, etc. But it all adds up. Travel, prep, lectures, pitches, meetings, TIME. /2

  7. I’ve spent decades of my career doing unpaid work. Bc it was “an honor to be included,” bc I was in positions of less power than those who asked, bc I didn’t want to burden them, bc I knew how, bc.. bc.. bc.. I am done. All of us should be compensated for our time & effort.

  11. The people weighing in on climate right now are all over the map in terms of concern, doom, severity, hope progress & next steps. There's no clear takeaway, so it's no surprise that another new report isn't raising alarm. But for what it's worth, I'm still solidly on team hope.

  12. A very large percentage of people have tried at least one fad diet. (ie Blood Type Diet. Rainbow Diet. Some version of eating like a caveman). We don't label them as crazy, but hopeful. Many - not all - wild beliefs come from a desire for change. /3
