        3. Jail Health Services has implemented aggressive enhanced screening to rapidly identify and isolate any persons with symptoms or exposure related to #COVID19 They do an extensive medical assessment of everyone housed in our jails within hours of booking.

        6. In January 2019, our average in-custody population was 1,400. In February 2020, our average in-custody population was 1,105. More than half of our justice-involved population is in alternatives to incarceration.

        7. Most of the justice-involved people housed in SF County Jail have been booked on serious or violent charges. Misdemeanants are typically released within 48 hours of booking unless the courts determine the arrested individual is a public safety risk.
