    The pause on evictions has been extended to 31st May - but this hasn’t stopped every stage of the process. Your landlord can still give you notice, and you may still have to go to a review or court hearing. Only the final stage – the actual eviction by bailiffs - is paused.

    There’s no reason to turn rough sleepers away on the basis they’re not eligible. Important write-up by 's (register to read). 👇

    New from me: councils are still refusing to provide some rough sleepers with emergency accom despite a court ruling in March that clarified they have the power to offer all rough sleepers support during the pandemic, regardless of eligibility.

    Our Mental Health First Aiders have made a real difference. We introduced the programme before the pandemic and honestly I’ve been as glad we did that as I am that we had invested in new helpline telephony. That’s how important it is.

    I should probably start with what Mental Health First Aid is! MHFA is a training programme which teaches people how to understand stigma, have quality conversations and signpost to the range of support available (health, personal, community etc)
