Journalists rushed to report that Trump’s handling of classified documents was far worse than Biden’s. Now that that they have egg on their faces, they’re insisting that their reporting was nuanced. From knee-jerk partisan propaganda to gas-lighting without taking a breath.

Journalists labored to contextualize a matter made all the more complex by the shadow of former president Donald Trump’s own ongoing classified-documents scandal. And they gird against partisan criticism that they are going too hard or soft on the story. wapo.st/3H3rEI5

Having “reported” that Trump had committed some terrible crime, the discovery that Biden had done the same thing gave “reporters” a serious case of cognitive dissonance. To relieve the stress, they wrote factually incorrect “explainers” to spin away the differences.

At first they said: Biden fessed up right away; he only had a few Top Secret documents; the VP can declassify them. Now they admit: we don’t know how many Top Secret documents he had; there’s no evidence he ever declassified them; and he didn’t fess up until he was caught.

When they announced that Biden had classified documents, millions of people thought, “Now the media are going to tell us that this is totally different from what Trump did.” Same with the weather/climate. Their propaganda is so relentless, and so one-sided, that it’s predictable.

The news media has become 100% “Dog bites man” coverage. What’s more, when somebody reports “Man bites dog,” the entire press corps is there to dismiss it as “Russian disinformation” or “Kremlin talking points” or the like.

After my Twitter Files story came out, CNN claimed to have “debunked” it by noting that FBI had never “ordered” Twitter to suppress the Hunter Biden laptop story. But I never claimed it had. CNN’s “debunking” was itself disinformation

During Watergate “Washington Post and The New York Times competed fiercely for the scoops. Today, the establishment media, after having maligned the laptop story when it came out in 2020, is stubbornly ignoring evidence of a potential FBI conspiracy to influence an election.”

Today's media really doesn't seem different from ages gone by. Heck, numerous similarities between how Yoel Roth appears to have been cultivated & run by DOJ-FBI-IC & how FBI AD Mark Felt aka Deep Throat ran Carl Bernstein. A very old, predictable pattern. #TwitterFiles
