Russia & Saudi Arabia are economic midgets compared to Germany & the U.S. and yet they are in the driver’s seat for the simple reason that they have embraced a pro-hard energy agenda while Germany & the U.S. have embraced a soft energy agenda.

Softness is wonderful when it comes to taking care of the weak, sick, and vulnerable.
But civilization requires some amount of hardness, including reliable power plants, police stations, and psychiatric hospitals for it to function.
Many in the West have forgotten that.
