The Biden admin last month backed away from a proposed "disinformation board," but now it's demanding Big Tech censor critics of renewable energies in the name of "public health." Could the timing have something to do with the failure of renewables?

To recap, a senior Biden admin official went on a renewable industry-funded media platform to a) spread misinformation about renewables, b) baselessly slander independent energy analysts as industry-funded, and c) demand that Big Tech censor us for our dissent.

All of this is happening at a time when grid operators across the U.S., and the North Atlantic Electric Reliability Corporation are issuing warnings of blackouts resulting from a) the integration of weather-dependent renewables and b) the lack of reliable sources of energy.

We mostly think of freedom of speech as an absolute value, which it is. It's enshrined as the first amendment in our constitution and it's deeply embedded in our nation's culture.
But free speech also has a highly practical purpose: to prevent the kind of debacles now unfolding.

One reason it's a bad idea to censor dissidents is that we are often right and the majority is often wrong. Of course, the majority is often right and dissidents are often wrong. But the cost of tolerating annoyingly wrong dissidents is far lower than the cost of many disasters.

There are few more egregious examples on the contemporary landscape of powerful interests seeking censorship than this one.
CAP & NRDC have directly taken money from, or are invested directly in, renewables. They are now demanding critics of renewables be censored.

I was glad to learn from that "Some conservative scholars argue that Big Tech companies could be sued as 'state actors' for violating users’ First Amendment speech rights when they censor content at the behest of government officials."

It's time for Congress to hold hearings on the out-of-control censorship by Big Tech and the grotesque demands for more of it by the Biden Administration. The track record of censorship of *accurate* information by Big Tech is absolutely horrendous.

Big tech censorship is predicated on a delusion that the world can be sanitized of its natural rawness & is getting completely out of hand. The danger is manifest.

Big Data must be destroyed - that alone will take out Big Government and Big Tech.

That’s the reason why having one party or another with a big majority in any House of Representatives. Need a balance to keep things functioning right.

That would be the worst thing to do. Have you seen what Congress has been doing?

Gotta wait until November, I'm afraid. This congress will only work for the left's agenda and nothing more. A red wave should help correct things.
