    Equity is not just an educational buzzword- we have created and perpetuated systems where demographics are the greatest predictor of student outcomes. We must change our beliefs, our system, and our practices to build an environment where all students succeed.

    Here’s what I was reminded of today. We should not aim to be teachers who teach social justice lessons & units. Instead we must do the work to become humans who have a deep understanding of issues of social justice & equity and then aim to be teachers who teach from that place.
