    The President’s lawyers say this is about a “policy debate.” It is not. Unless that policy provides that a president can be as corrupt as he chooses and there is nothing Congress can do about it. That must never be the policy of the United States.

    Some Republicans: I was on the verge of doing my duty as a Senator to support the Constitution but then Adam Schiff referenced a news report about something a White House source said so I am mad and now I won’t fulfill my constitutional responsibility.

    Republicans are VERY angry about Schiff’s decision to reference that CBS “head on a pike” report. Murkowski says “that’s where he lost me.” Barrasso says “whatever gains he may have made, he lost all of it — plus some — tonight.”

    Also Ukraine *hasn't* received all the aid, so even if attempted bribery weren't a crime, he's still committed crimes! Also this claim that impeachment would undue an election -- what about the 2018 election?
