This is an area with a strong environmentalist labour MP. The Green Party have not stood is over 20 Years. Libs always stand.
But LibDems have between 1500 - 6500 voters. That would make more of an impact than the Greens who haven't stood since 1992.
If the libs stood down that would have been great. why did the Green Party talk of tactical voting then stand against an anti frack MP?
We stood down for Labour in 2015 in Wirral West. Got nothing back & 0 recognition. We have voters who want to vote Green. Why deny them?
In short, because a vote for the Greens (or indeed, the Lib Dems), means Labour loses out and local environmental issues will be ignored...
They won't be. Regardless of which MP we have. Please do not underestimate pressure groups. As a conservation biologist, I'm editing my
study on the Dee for publication. I have NE, NRW & NGO's interested in it. I'm standing bc we need scientists in politics, but I won't back
down bc of results tomorrow. Don't forget it's a Labour council that's spent £600k already of our money on the golf resort plans.
