When a person hits that subscribe button they are saying, I want this person's content... not I want you @Youtube to decide what portion of content I get.... C'mon guys, to subscribe is an action, which means that sub is saying, give me this content

In the past, some viewers were frustrated with how many notifications they received. Not everyone felt that way, so we added the bell. For any subs who are worried they're missing content, they can get all notifications by changing their settings here: http://goo.gl/XLDtz4

All of the videos will still show up in your subs feed. As not every sub wanted to receive a proactive notification, we created the bell so viewers had a choice.

Replying to @TeamYouTube @RushMyPancake and
Multi billion dollars company and you can't really think about the solution? LOL. Just make it THE OTHER WAY AROUND. When you subscribe, the Bell is ACTIVATED by default. If you don't want notifications, you can deactivate them. Not that hard man. And you'd solve this problem.

Then don't subscribe to the channel. Or deactivate them. If YouTube is smart, it will allow you to mass-select channels on a 'Subscribed' tab, and toggle the notifs for all channels selected. THOUSANDS of channels are dying because of YT auto-disabling notifications for users.

^ Youtube has bullshit “designers”, they rely too hard on data gathered from their apps, and forget to even go back to that drawing board.
