Will these new adjuncts and part-timers cross the picket line and replace not only undergrad surveys, but also these demanding projects, sometimes years in the making? Can they write our letters of recommendation? In the middle of the semester? 3/6

Will my Fin Aid (and my *JOB*), funded by NEH, supervised by a faculty member on strike (with years of relevant research experience), be supported under a mid-semester new-hire? Will they be prepared to take over culminating projects? 4/6

Will these workers be ready to step into our mentors' shoes and help to guide students through the increasingly toxic environment WSU has knowingly created on campus and into productive careers? C'mon. Get real. 5/6

Thinking admin crunched numbers and decided this semester's a wash, student work expendable--just the cost of doing business. Maybe union-busting will free up $$ for more real estate speculation, but it's a rotten bridge and I'm not buying.
