Such a delight to talk in-person at @welcometomannys last night.
I'm proud of our work to center victims; address root causes of crime; & promote equal justice. We also have more work to do.
Looking forward to future discussions w/ San Franciscans!https://www.sfchronicle.com/bayarea/article/I-refuse-to-be-distracted-S-F-District-16303036.php?fbclid=IwAR10bkihndo8TUkeC61stnmV0F93y9zX8LbizvKxSLbZL1hg88IeLfNVAWc#photo-21216422 …

Distracted from what? It’s not like you’re prosecuting anyone. With shootings and homicides through the roof, maybe you should start. Objectively speaking, SFPD is not the problem.https://www.forcescience.org/2021/07/san-francisco-police-peacefully-resolve-99-9-of-crisis-related-calls/ …

ForceScience works for/with police so they're biased. They don't want non-police officers working as community aids because they would risk losing funds for their work. This report is positive but what about the bias the DOJ found in 2016. Is it gone?https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/oct/12/san-francisco-police-justice-department-report-bias …

This data was collected from the same source — showing, irrefutably, that less than 0.1% of crisis calls involve use of force. Doesn’t say a thing about bias. Black men are arrested at a higher rate, because they commit crime at a 7x higher rate than other ethnicities.

Replying to @ShaunKingLies @LetBlackWomenL1 and
SFPD has gone as far as to implement a policy that it will no longer release mug shots because they “promote racial bias” — because they’re almost always black. As far as arrests go, SFPD can not control the race of these perps, only the perps can do that.

Your assumption that mug shots would be "almost always black" shows your own bias.

It is an objective fact. You can find the data online.

Not really. The data would be arrest data and not real crime data, which can't be known since many people are never caught for their crimes, like myself. Part of the problem with the legal system is that Black people are arrested disproportionately more than whites.

Convictions are objective indications of crime, especially in SF where they’re extremely difficult to render. Go look up conviction rates & get back to me. These guys are confirmed by DNA, video, etc. There’s no ambiguity. It’s an obvious problem and denying that serves no one

Conviction rates are related to arrest rates. You're not listening when I say Blacks & Latinos are arrested at a disproportionate rate to whites. Just look at the war on drugs. Wonder if you worry about the crimes of white supremacists?https://www.fpri.org/article/2020/04/the-growing-threat-posed-by-accelerationism-and-accelerationist-groups-worldwide/ …

Drug use & possession have been decriminalized in SF for decades. Black men are currently 10x overrepresented as perpetrators of homicide, shootings, burglaries, and carjackings in SF. SFPD has gone to unreasonable lengths to minimize racial bias; it’s on the black community now.
