This is key to understand: arresting, caging people traumatizes & injures them. For many crimes associated with poverty, drug use, mental illness, the criminal justice system is not a solution but a harm inflamer.

Kenny Stills and Robert Quinn have said their anthem demonstrations are a protest against racial inequality in America. Albert Wilson hasn't really discussed it since coming to Miami. We'll likely hear his views on it after the game.

I have many friends in the NFL, but I could never watch or support this league after they have effectively banned both Colin Kaepernick and Eric Reid from the sport. It’s disgusting. Eric’s ban deserves way more attention. He’s the most kind, professional, skilled dude.

Kaepernick understandably gets most of the attention but the fact that Eric Reid remains unsigned might actually be the biggest sign that the NFL is actively working to keep opinionated black players off rosters.

I asked a bunch of safeties why they thought the market for the position was depressed this year. Tre Boston's theory? Teams wanted to mask the fact that they're blackballing Eric Reid.

Tre Boston was arguably the top safety on the market, and he waited until the eve of training camp to sign a modest one-year deal. In his mind, the slow market has an obvious cause: teams didn’t want to make it clear they were avoiding Eric Reid.

Say your argument is that Colin Kaepernick doesn’t have job because he’s old (he isn’t) or is past his prime (not true) - tell me why 26 year old Pro Bowler Eric Reid doesn’t have a job. It has NOTHING to do with football. Nothing at all. For either of them.
