    Sad but true

    Writers called Brazil's National Museum "renowned" and "cherished" after fire destroyed its collections. The reality: Brazilians didn't even know it existed. Brazil is a country without memory. And understanding the past is vital for rectifying it.

    Absolutely crazy!

    This video shows, quite clearly, the moment far-right presidential candidate Jair Bolsonaro is stabbed in a campaign event in Minas Gerais. He was taken to a hospital, but reportedly it's a superficial wound. This is just crazy.

    A skull has been found in the ashes of Brazil’s National Museum, & there’s hope that it is from Luzia, the oldest human fossil from the Americas. She was 12,000 years old when she was burned in the fire...it’s the detail that hits hardest for me personally ab what this fire took.
