(2/3) ...including placing at least one spy/informant close to Trump campaign & wiretapping or surveilling at least seven Trump associates— all while President Obama denied such election interference was possible— and yet in the end...(cont.)

(3/3) ...the FBI was still incompetent at preventing the Russian interference they'd investigated all year, and then found no grounds to open an investigation into
@realDonaldTrump until after he fired FBI Director Comey. Or #2 The govt spied on Trump for political purposes.Show this threadThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

At this point, have we seen any evidence that Russia did uniquely target the Trump campaign?
-
We know that the FBI says they targeted the DNC. Wonder if they placed a spy in the DNC to get info on that election year national security risk?
-
Trump should place a spy in the 2020 Democrat presidential campaign for their protection since everyone seems to be cool with Trump getting spied on, amirite?
-
Agree!
I actually said this today also.
Matter of fact, let's do EVERYTHING to them they did to @POTUS . THEY set the precedence for these tactics. THEY drew first blood. - 1 more reply

You have no idea what you are talking about. Your opinion piece for The Hill on this topic demonstrates that quite effectively.

If they had cared at all, they would have taken the DNC computer, and they didn’t. That action alone, tells us the spying was gratuitous, and an indulgence they though they could parlay into a Clinton win.
-
They keep saying we know the Russians hacked... no we don't we know the DNC says they did..... And we now know what they are all capable of
-
Exactly..... why won't the DNC let the
@FBI look at their servers??? What are they afraid of? They weren't hacked!!!

the only issue with this is that no one thought, including Trump camp, he could/would win. Wasn't until afternoon/early evening of returns (election day) when people seeing returns started to believe.
-
Speak for yourself. Plenty of people thought Trump could and would win, including
@realDonaldTrump himself. -
Not so sure about that, remember the Trump brand is image so couldn't put a public face on not winning. Many people, including me, hoped that Hillary wouldn't win so by default pinned hopes on Trump.
-
“No one, including Trump, thought he could win” Bs. I thought he could win in June 16 when he was completely inside every opponent and media outlets head in ways that every spineless ‘conservative’ before could never accomplish. Just pointing out that your assertion is false.
-
I was making a generality. I too predicted (on national TV twice) that he would win.

I called it too. Predicted the Blue Wall cracking, and 300+ EVs.pic.twitter.com/4GG4QZEf9t

Any journos who bothered to pay attention could see what the strategy was. The 'tell' was the rallies.pic.twitter.com/nArTnzSBx9
-
Same sort of cognitive dissonance ignoring the rallies is paralleling the underestimation of
@realDonaldTrump ability to orchestrate a broad strategy and lead his enemies make mistakes first. If he’s able to bring justice over Clinton emails, it’s game over for generations. - 5 more replies
