This article engages in disgraceful speculation about Mueller’s motives-that he would cover up past FBI misdeeds instead of doing his job-meant only to give aide & comfort to pro-Trump conspirators like Nunes. Atkinson’s fraudulent pose as “the only objective journalist” is over.

What is your basis for speculating that Mueller would abuse his authority in the way you suggest? You know he's not that kind of person. This kind of article only feeds baseless conspiracy theories in defense of Trump. You'll see your speculation on Hannity this week, guaranteed.
-
I suggested the opposite. I explicitly said, twice, that I am confident Mueller can rise above any perceived conflicts. And I said it was likely he would produce a fair investigation. What do you see when you read those words?
-
What I see is you trying to have it both ways. You put libels vs Mueller & his team on the record, many of them distortions or venemous speculation, then allow as to how he might be fair anyway. What you’re really up to is helping Trump damage his reputation, dishonestly.

Sharyl, what about the appearance of those he chose to be part of this investigation. I have heard that called into question as showing partisan politics.
-
Mueller and all other DOJ officials are NOT ALLOWED TO ASK PEOPLE THEY HIRE ABOUT THEIR POLITICAL PARTY. When will Trump apologists like Atkinson finally enlighten fans about that BASIC FACT. The ongoing deception & disinformation from right wing journalists is infuriating.
-
Nobody discussed political party in this article. In fact, that is pretty irrelevant (in my opinion) since many Republicans as well as Democrats are vehemently against President Trump. So registered party alone imparts little meaning in terms of supposed impartiality.pic.twitter.com/Xm4zkiLRx5

Sharyl, that was in response to the commenter who mentioned "partisan politics." I assume you already knew what I said was true, but when Trump fans repeat this nonsense, I never see Trump-friendly journos correct it.

Oh sorry I didn't understand what you were referring to ...

I want to believe Mueller is operating in good faith, but there's so many conflicts (Rosenstein recommended Comey's firing & Comey is good friends w/ Mueller), along with the ppl Mueller has hired (Weissmann, Rhee, Zebley, Quarles). At best, Mueller is guilty of horrible optics.
-
Hopefully he can rise above.

Look at the POTUS tweets & public statements & tell me these are the reactions of an innocent man. And, tell me these are not attempts to undermine and/or thwart the investigations swirling around him. Oh, this is just Donald Trump. Bull!
-
In general people are presumed innocent. And in fact just because Strzok, Page, etc. did acts that some may say make them seem less than innocent doesn't mean they are guilty of a crime.

There’s also reason to be concerned with him. I guess we will see soon enough.

Dunno. After realizing he was...intimately involved with the anthrax debacle, I find him...not someone to trust to fairly investigate much.
