the problem is that the identical message was read by many anchors. You want to be just a pretty face and nice voice?

No offense, and you can argue whether you like it or not, but many anchors generally read what's written for them--especially when it comes to promos. I don't know how you would disseminate a company wide mission statement any other way. Same as the networks do.

no problem with an anchor identifying a Sinclair opinion as Sinclair. But it's a problem to identify it as local.

It's a promo. A local promo carrying the mission statement of the national company, which develops a national campaign and direction for its stations. I guess it is confusing because most people don't know much about these relationships.
-
as I said if it was run as a Sinclair promo it would be honest. But not branded as the local station.
