I like that analogy. We're broccoli but we try to prepare it in a way that tastes good, too. @FullMeasureNews https://twitter.com/DavidHa72520191/status/981217712989859840 …

Sharyl - you are a proponent of Real News - how do you feel about your parent company having 30+ stations read the same memo (per Deadspin) - do you think that is good for your industry?

I can't find a single thing in the promo to disagree with. It says there has been too much biased and inaccurate reporting, and they strive to be fair, "neither left nor right." I like that message, personally. But some don't.

I like the message and do think that should be the goal. Maybe the editing makes it worse - but I saw the deadspin clip: almost verbatim, tone , voice inflection on key words or a hand to the heart —. Seemed somewhat scripted :)

--was spun as if Trump somehow directed it or that it was weird or nefarious. Debate the message if you like, and don't watch the stations if you disagree. But every news outlet has marketing and promotional efforts--and this particular message resonates to many.

I never thought Trump was behind it. I just thought, since it seemed an attack on FakeNews; & since Sinclair is reported to be more conservative - Fake News would equate too CNN or MSNBC. Which is not wrong sometimes, Or Fox either :)

It's just that I read some silly stuff people were publishing saying Trump literally directed the promos etc. :) Sinclair has conservative owners, prior to that I worked for CNN CBS with super liberal billionaires at the top and PBS too. For the most part and for years
