My issue is with the opinions themselves. Too often they R irrational & utilize deceptive means such as false equivalency, purposeful misrepresentation, & little more than surface level thought. To me this is contributing to a decline in thought processing within the population.

Completely agree with your assessment. Both sides operate in this manner. It’s all about political football over dealing with real problems. That’s why I like reading your work. You tackle real problems/corruption & have no trouble remaining objective. Hard to find nowadays!

I have thought long and hard over the years about how news is biased and many times unintentionally -- me included -- and started treating as an intellectual challenge the idea of letting go and reporting something I may personally disagree with in a favorable fashion etc.
