Too bad this story was corrected and debunked (see link) but the propagandists are still pressing it. Smacks a bit of desperation. https://blogs.spjnetwork.org/ethics/2016/12/19/re-sinclairs-deal-with-campaigns/ …https://twitter.com/maggieNYT/status/980600512256110598 …

Face it. It is pure Pravda.
-
Well, not really LOL every news network writes promos and has promotional campaigns. And I can't find anything in this one to disagree with. Can you?
-
Just a sign of the journalistic times I guess. These anchors have been on the air for 20+yrs so now “this time we’re being honest with you!” ? Great, thanks!

Strictly a corporate decision? Or more sinister Orwellian reason? Just comes off as awkward & weird.
-
I don't think it's Orwellian that companies, including news organizations, all have promo campaigns. The locals of this station group are not used to doing them; I believe it's the first time they've done it ahead of Sinclair's expansion.
-
Journalistic integrity should be self-evident, promos best left for fund raisers, civic events imo

You must not have heard of the required segments delivered by Sebastian Gorka and Boris Epshteyn! CNN money had a good article..
-
That's another issue entirely!

Without this report that you claim is debunked, how would local news watchers know you’re reading a prepared script being pushed in all Sinclair sites across the nation? You don’t back up your claims, just imply others are dishonest; a Trump talking point, not unbiased reporting

It's not a promo, it's an editorial. Big difference.
