What would constitute a use of arms against government as being necessary to secure a free state

The Founding Fathers placed their faith in a citizen militia to defend against both foreign enemies and a state or federal government with tyrannical ambitions. They distrusted standing armies as tools of oppression, and thought "select militias" run by the State little better.
-
yes, but what would constitute a free state? Well, it can be said a free state, meaning nation, it can be said a free state is one in which a person’s unalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, as well as all rights protected or given by our constitution.
-
Exactly, our Founders believed in a nation where people enjoyed countless inalienable rights secured by law, under a written constitution, and felt that an armed citizenry was the way to secure those rights.
-
Well, plus, think about Vietnam and how great the PLF’s and the Vietcong’s resistance was against the American military. They were trained and armed with far inferior soviet era weapons, but were trained and so determined (or forced) to send the US out, they won. Shows our point
-
Exactly, back to Alexander, there is no fully armed people ever subdued by an army. Plus a modern Western army is hamstrung by morality and laws. Like G Washington, guerillas need only wear it down. But we need never fight, because no one will take on 450M guns in civilian hands!
-
Plus, the military can only enforce federal law, and while the national guard is trained for urban combat, using them to enforce domestic law would be a violation of rights, and if we were attacked by an invading force, they can’t mobilize without orders. That’s why we have .22lr

Interesting discussion, guys. Now, when do ordinary citizens decide it's time to be like the Bundys? In Baltimore, inner-city blacks get set up by police who shake them down or worse. What do they do? Or fed govt is robbing us and spying on us. What do we do?

I’ve been saying this since BEFORE Trump took office: The status quo Establishment, (All sides) will create stories and situations to upend Trump’s presidency. They don’t care about Russian Collusion. They’re only concern is that he will expose them and their corrupt gravy train.
-
Thus treason against the American people to which all involved must be prosecuted in order to prevent such future atrocities !!!

Ah, the dreamy optimism of my youth . . . thanks for the reminder.

The press is still trying to figure out, after an 8 year vacation, how to be a free press again. So far, all they have is hissy fits and name calling "because he called me a name first!". Oh, and they don't want to know what happened the last 8 years at least.

It seems like this is the case...some is intentional, to make it ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE to get the truth...there are temporary set backs when chasing the truth, including bribes, threats, demeaning rhetoric, embellishing stories, disappearing witnesses and such
