Why are we even talking about this. Infallible Fivethirtyeight assures us that Trump’s ceiling is not more than 15%, 20% tops. There’s no path to primary victory so he’ll never be President. This is all pointless speculation, right?

He can’t get to 1,237. He can’t get to 270. He’ll never be inaugurated. etc., etc., etc....
-
There's simply no path to winning for him.
-
I would be shocked if he was even able to get into the debates.

But don't you think alot of people didn't vote for Trump but against Hillary?
-
I don't know how many but I'm sure there was an element of that and vice versa. Again, I'm no expert, but I think the narrative that H was such a bad candidate, so people voted for T is a bit overblown. A lot of people wanted to vote for Trump regardless.
-
I agree with you but I do think that it was in the mix. H was just so distant from alot of people and many of her comments, deplorable for instance struck a sour note. And not even close to an expert.

That was definitely the narrative, but misrepresented as seen by his supporters.. LBJ was a D but it doesn't mean all Ds are the same, of course.

Donald Trump is a JFK Democrat. But JFK Democrats no longer exist among elected officials, they do however exist in great numbers among rank-and-file Democrat voters. Those are the Trump Democrats who hit the Pelosiization of their party. 1/2

Right. I always ask people to name a DEM that the R's would vote for. (maybe Jerry Brown)?
-
I wouldn't vote for the dems posing as Rs (Kasich)

I would agree with moderate Dems, old Blue Dogs, as the progressives pushed them out. Look at PA Dem ran as BLUE DOG!

Most D's and many R's appear to be on strings. Not worth your vote.
