I doubt anyone could truly find the origins of that phrase. I have heard it used for years. But only mainstream lately of course. Why does @realDonaldTrump constantly berate the press and claim fake news? I'm innocently asking as I haven't asked you before.
I found the origins of the phrase in its modern usage (did you watch the TEDx talk? It wasn't that hard to trace in the end. It was introduced as a propaganda campaign in Sept. 2016 ahead of the effort rolled out to control/filter social media/internet.
I'm sorry I have heard the phrase for years. Fake News and Propaganda are hand in hand synonymous terms. He certainly wasn't the first one to have propaganda thrown at them. Why does he use it constantly and same for Collusion/russia...if not guilty why protest too much?
It's amazing how many people think they've heard it for years when they haven't. Maybe you have; maybe not :) Can you find me a popular citation from pre-2016 where it's used in this context? I'd like to see it.
Oh now come on. I'm happy you think you have the origin. Both of our opinions are ok. I don't want a fight just to voice my mind and I did. Onward, I liked the show this weekend. Although the Rand corp guy didn't get much time and no explanation of what that is a Think Tank
...I think you're quite aware of think tanks. Heritage, Rand...et al. A group that puts their minds to finding answers and setting policies and more. you know....are you being coy? or just messing with me?
No I agree with you on think tanks and wrote about that in The Smear and spoke of it in my first Ted Talk. You're 100% spot on.
Thank you! I appreciate that. I also need to P.M. you an idea again. Sorry but you understand I'm sure. Not today. thanks again!
