They still need a basis for it and “ we don’t like him” is not a basis

They'd come up with a "trumped up" charge like "obstruction of justice" whether they believed it or not. I think a 2/3 vote of the Senate would be required to "convict" but, of course, the purpose would not be to convict but to inflict political damage.
-
I agree completely. They will make a lot of noise but it won’t do anything
-
IMO a secondary goal beyond taking down Trump is maintaining status quo of the Deep State. In the end, the mantra will be "everyone" made "mistakes" but mostly for "good reasons". A commission will be set up to give recommendations, published & ignored, and the cycle will repeat.
-
You are right but I hope it doesn’t get there
-
It's all a game to these people. They're counting on depressing turnout in the midterms. People have to realize no matter how good things are getting for the majority of people, you can't be content and think the left won't do everything they can to tip the balance of power back.
-
I hope that people realize how important the midterms are to the country. I don’t think this is a typical midterm.

More drum circles are needed to decide what to impeach for. Maybe the summer-long voter registration riots by the Parkland Drama Class will spark some idea.

Which in this whacky world means Republican voters better not get complacent this November. Need to maintain majorities in both houses!

Wow! So a giant adult-temper-tantrum can lead to a hissy-fit-Impeachment? Amazing. That's our government, folks.

I think the Articles of Impeachment would need to be more than “He’s mean to people on Twitter”, though.

Its called a coup against a legally elected president. If they can do it once, the republic is over.

That will lead to a real problem! Every president who comes in will then be subject to a impeachment vote. There has to be some reason given to impeach

Not exactly. US Constitution ARTICLE II, SECTION 4. The President, Vice President and all Civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.

Impeachment is the process by which Congress puts certain officials, namely the president, on trial. The constitution lays out a broad scope of offences that can lead to impeachment: “Treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors." NOT JUST BECAUSE THEY WANT TO DO IT
