I too had a pixie cut too. My siblings would call me Illya Kuryakim from the TV show Man From U.N.C.L.E.

didn't you love it when mom just kept snipping, trying each time to get your bangs straight. Only to make matters worse?

Sponge curlers in my hair on Saturday night during Lawrence Welk show and by the time Sunday church was over, hair straight as a stick. But mom kept trying!
Miss her so. #ProudHillbilly - 2 more replies

I keep this for sentimental reasons and because, at this stage, I'm quite sure it can serve as a WMD if needed.pic.twitter.com/Ti7ofjrFL8

True story: I know 2 different people who were asked out on dates by Elvis.
-
Never knew anyone who got asked out - growing up, listened to The King on KEEL 50,000 watts 790 on your radio dial, home of the Louisiana Hayride, so
#ProudHillbilly I was SHOCKED to find out the Louisiana Hayride was not a REAL HAYRIDE, damn fast talking DJ's had me fooled. -
Hilarious! Neither of the family friends went out with him. I don't remember if it was because their parents thought they were too young, or what it was. The funny thing is, neither of the 2 knew each other. Obviously he asked out a lot of girls!
