Why do we think the NSA has the texts?

Verizon and the NSA have a routine system in place that collects all of this. On all of us. It's retrievable, according to my information.

Well if that's the case, the people that will miss the text messages the most are Strzok and Page. It will drive them crazy trying to figure out when they said what and what they actually said.

Do you think the IG already has most of the evidence on the FBI/ DOJ already and the Congressional stuff is a formality?

Some but not necessarily most. The DOJ IG doesn't operate in a political vacuum, as I have learned. They only go "so far" in their investigations.
