Many physicians have leaned away from insurance companies & toward à la carte service platform. We have Grace Point in the Nashville area.. $50/mo unlimited visits, lab work $25, etc.

That’s actually a fabulous price.

I have a couple of friends who do the same thing. They believe they're much better off. They pay as they go and then have a cheap catastrophic policy.

we need more info on these types of services. i paid $8k last year in medical costs. because of the stipulation that premiums cannot be deducted if they are pre-tax i was unable to deduct medical expenses. under the new 7.5% hurdle i would have been able to

I love my DPC. He was my doctor before & then left practice to open his own DCP. I have insurance through work but still pay extra to keep him. Direct access to him 24/7 if needed & he will spend as much time as needed since he doesn't have to cycle tons of patients through.

Some of the local ER Clinics are offering "cash discounts" for people who prefer just to pay their bill rather than submit insurance claims. Most are cheaper than your co-pay would be. The free market works if you can get government out.

That's why we need a catastrophic/surgical plan. I would prefer monthly direct care coop. They've negotiated low diagnostic test fees too.
