Between your two tweets, I truly hate Twitter's move to 280 rather than 140. I honestly didn't read past the blah-blah-blah. What do you guys do?

Sorry I don't understand your question. But your attention span is truly that short, may I recommend: http://www.randomthingstodo.com/25-shortest-jokes-ever …
-
By no means is my attention span "that short" (rude to a fan, btw). My comment had only to do with twitter expanding to 280 from 140 characters. Pithy no longer exists. Tweets are often too long.
-
"I can't handle reading 280 chars tweets, which is just two 140 char tweets put together. But I have an AMAZING attention span." That is what you basically said. No words.
@SharylAttkisson was very nice to you in my book. You were the rude one. -
I disagree, but that's OK. My issue is with twitter lengthening the tweets which sometimes result in MEGO. Nothing personal. Of course you realize my attention span isn't the issue here. :)
-
I don't know. I stopped reading after "blah, blah, blah". 280 chars is too long. Twitter should go back to 140 chars.

@tmt50three This is fake news. I’ve worked at an NBC owned affiliate, a CBS owned affiliate and a station owned by the Washington Post. There are never “must runs” in the editorial content of newscasts, especially biased political commentary. -
Thank you. The must run as SA described just doesn't pass the smell test
-
@10s is misleading.Full Meas is a news program, not an editorial commentary show. It is same as the 4 hrs of Today Show, or Meet the Press, or national evening news. The Today show, Meet Press, evening news ARE must runs.Full Measure is no more editorial, than some must runs. -
10s calling Full Meas “editorial” is wrong. It is a news program. If it is “editorial commentary” then he shld call all news-nightly news, 60 Min, Today show, etc “editorial”I don’t think any of it shld b called that. But u can’t pick 1 show, call it editorial, but not the others.
-
So SA is factually correct about must runs.
@10s is taking a show he must not like & calls it an “editorial.” If he think one news show is “editorial” then he shld apply same standard to all news shows he likes, wh ARE network Must Runs, like national nightly news or 60 Min, etc. -
10s’ observation and application to this argument is misplaced bc he is applying label of “editorial commentary” to just one news show, but not others is disingenuous. I see this and say this as a 3d party voter who is not blinded by liberal or conservative indoctrination.

Where do the "must run" orders come from? Management? Owners?
-
I know I’m not Sharyl, and she can give you a better answer, but in case she is busy I’ll answer: Sinclair owns a local station, which they want to identify as “part” of NBC or ABC, etc. Sinclair isn’t owned by NBC, but if it wants to be an affiliate of NBC....
-
...& carry NBC’s programming, then Sincl. must follow NBC rules for broadcasters who want 2 b NBC affiliates. Must run shows (decided by NBC Execs) include Prime Time lineup and the national “NBC Nightly News”.If they don’t show the “must run” shows, NBC pulls the NBC designation
-
If a national network, like NBC pulls the broadcaster’s affiliation with them, then that can be death for a brdcstr such as Sinclair bc they now have no content to air. The FCC, though, allows brdcastrs to have some non-netwrk content they choose such as Full Measure for eg. ...
-
...but 4 most of the hrs of the day, Sinclair & other broadcasters must show what the Networks want. So broadcasters are really more of a mouth piece for national network than they are mouth piece for themselves. Sinclair shows Full Measure and Borris’s 3 min news commentary.
-
So when you hear complaints that Sinclair is a propoganda machine 4 a political party, that is a completely inaccurate characterization. Even if for sake of argument we hypothetically say Full Measure is Trump propoganda, so what. The rest of the time Sincl is NBC/ABC propoganda.
