Yeh, about that. I got an earful too from a whistleblower and the co-inventor of that vaccine. I, too, was surprised again at what I learned. Things aren't always as advertised. https://twitter.com/RubyReeses/status/943678092752703488 …

What is your point? HPV vaccine is highly effective, safe and does prevent cancer in multiple sites. Saves lives. Reason it is given to pre pubescent children is that it is much more effective if given at that age, not to prevent STD but cancers.

You're clueless like most doctors who regurgitate what they've been told without any of their own research! You're not saving lives, it's poison to WAY TOO MANY! https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/25990003/?i=5&from=/28689455/related … https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/25882168 …

It is proven and just came back from a conference that gave a great presentation with proof that without presence of high risk HPV strains almost 0 incidence of cervical cancer. HPV screening will eventually replace Pap smears. I am a doctor & a much more informed person than you

I am a patient as well and appreciate and trust the knowledge of the physicians that treat me. I would hope that an orthopedist would know more about hip replacement surgery than I do. I also do some independent research on those subjects but do not second guess my doctors.

Not sure how preventing deaths from cancer is a problem? Much less expensive than treating cancer as well. Who would oppose that. Skepticism is fine but misguided and ignorant opposition is not.

Read up a little, my friend. We don't even yet know if HPV vaccine will be effective when the 1st girls reach cervical cancer age many yrs from now. Until then, it's experimental with known side effects and unknown benefit.

Here is a simplistic analogy. I bought LED light bulbs guaranteed to last 7 years. That bulb technology wasn’t even 2 years old. The light bulb lasted 7 months. How many products are guaranteed for more years than the technology has even existed. Human bodies are a different.....

that's sort of how the co-developer of HPV vaccine described it to me as well when she was issuing a great deal of caution over what she thought was mismarketing of her product.

For years felines had been getting cancers at vaccine injection sites. Veterinarians started giving vaccines near limbs that could be amputated. Not all vaccines and not all cats, but it was a hidden risk that surface a decade or so later.
