Sounds like most of the folks commenting did NOT grow up in the era of POLIO. I remember as a 10 year old being scared to death of the iron lungs we would see kids in. I thought the Polio vaccine was the greatest thing since sliced bread until I read Dr. Mary's Monkey.

What does that have to do with the notion of trying to make all vaccines as safe as possible? That's why govt pulled oral polio vaccine off the market. At one time it was helpful and risk v benefit profile good. But not today.
-
Nothing's changed since Polio vaccines today still contain monkey kidney cells linked to cancer Read the book

Chicken pox was viewed a simply a rite of passage when I was a child.
-
"as" a rite of passage. Doing CLE and typing at the same time.
-
I can relate to the CLE and typing especially at this time of year!

chickenpox also carries significant risks for some people: https://www.cdc.gov/chickenpox/about/complications.html … When people CHOOSE not to be vaccinated, they also put those who cannot tolerate the vaccine at higher risk.
-
Funny how the CDC only started calling the chicken pox dangerous after they started pushing the vax.

Exception is chicken pox ... if you actually had chicken pox, you're far more likely to contract shingles in later life. The virus can reactivate and cause shingles.

On the other hand, a friend's twin sister died as a result of a reaction to the small pox vaccine.

also.. measles virus may also confer a longer-lasting sort of "immune-amnesia" that makes it harder for people to stave off other illnesses for two years or more. source:http://www.latimes.com/science/sciencenow/la-sci-sn-measles-long-term-effects-20150507-story.html …
