Correlation does not prove causality. Think global warming & CO2. Neither does anecdotal evidence. I got flu after taking a flu shot one year. Was it because of shot or did I already have it incubating? Or did I catch it at a doctor's office full of sick people? #2ManyVariables

Very well said. I personally don't get a flu shot because I often wonder, "was that the flu or was it a cold?" and "how effective is it really?" I think there's a case to be made for certain vaccinations like tetanus, mumps and maybe measles but, flu shots? I'm not convinced.

Experts used to say you cannot get the flu from a flu shot. I asked my doctor awhile back and he said they've changed that. You can get sick. I depend on his education and training and if he says it's better to take it because statistically you are better off I listen to him.
