Certainly the drug rehab organizations, with their 90% fail rate. An Obamacare navigator said that that, which has to be included in all obamacare policies and pregnancy care are the two things that drive up insurances rates astronomically.

I paid out of pocket for years & once a dr suggested a test & I asked how much it cost. He shrugged. I started comparing the bills from those days when I finally got ins and realized huge difference, cuz providers know ins have deep pockets. No one knows how much anything costs.

I am a cancer patient...ever look at what my treatment costs are? They are quite outrageous. But that doesn’t leave insurance off the hook. Both are culpable.

When my mother was hospitalized, hispital kept piling up cans of liquid food on her window sill which my mother wasn’t using. I pointed this out to hospital staff. They just shrugged their shoulders & kept delivering cans she never drank.

2) you mean we couldn't find a more sound solution for this 11% so that the entire insurable pop suffered.

Cost was the big problem not addressed by ACA, experts on this, like Cosgrove of Cleveland Clinic, said so when it was enacted

That’s always been my question. Why aren’t costs more the issue instead of who pays for them?

Glad you are going to address this issue. It is huge! Medical equipment stores ripping off Medicare and other insurers. I bought an item on Amazon for 39.00 after a local supplier wanted 120.00 plus a Rx so they could run it thru insurance at that price. Many more examples.

I think for any plan to succeed everyone needs a stake even if it is a small one. No free ride for anyone. Plus fraud management must be a top priority

That is exactly the problem. And people who have company plans don't pay attention to what their companies go through and spend on them for their coverages. They will harshly find out someday.
