$1640 seems reasonable. Something like this would probably cost $20,000 or more today. Terrible that lobbyists have that much influence.

Yep. Drug companies, hospitals, and doctors can charge whatever price they want because they know the gov’t & insurance will pay.
OCare is great for those that get it for free or next to free. Not so much for the rest of us that subsidize it for them as we go without.
Part of the reason is that these countries get discounted prices for drugs.We literally help subsidize their social health care programs.
